Spinner Dolphins
Becca may not have been able to roll over in Hawaii, but the dolphins could.
They are such show offs.
But the baby dolphins weren’t jumping.

Hawaii Wildlife
We didn’t see too much wildlife in Hawaii.
There was a turtle sunning himself in the pond at the resort.
And lots of birds but they wouldn’t stay still long enough for a picture.
And there were some creepy crawlies.
They were pretty cool.

Polar Bears
The weather in Toronto at New Years made most people want to bury their heads and stay inside.
But Kerri and Matt dragged themselves out of bed.
After several attempts.
Far too many failed attempts to describe here.
We sprang out of bed to attack winter with unparalleled ferociousness.
But a little bit of apprehension.
After gathering all of our important equipment we set out to seize the day.
We really love our equipment.
We misplaced some of it though and spent a while searching all over to find it.
Okay, so we may have lost the visual metaphor at this point, so instead check out the size of those paws. Huge right?
Even polar bears are very careful to check they won’t break through the ice.
Sometimes they dive in anyway because polar bears don’t mind a polar dip at –20C.

Merry Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house both Matthew and Kerri were stirring because it was turkey dinner time.
We may have gone a little overboard (26 pounds!) for the two of us.
Here’s the first of 45+ meals.
In true fine dining we ate on the couch while watching Christmas Eve on Sesame Street and A Muppet Family Christmas.
Here are the next 11 full meals and the rest of the bird to carve in the background.
The eight containers on the right are all packed up for freezing along with the bones. I don’t think they’ll make it to November this year, but we’ll see what happens.
Finally, we washed it down with a glass of wine for Matt and glass of advent calendar gummies for Kerri (thanks again Auntie Doris). Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
