    We saw dead people.

    image

    So many dead people.

    image

It really seems more like a supervillian’s lair than a church.

    image

Who thought it was a good idea to pose them carrying bones in their mouths like dogs?

    image

Apparently this tunnel of bones is a good place to leave coins for good luck.

    image

For people who died of the plague over 500 years ago, they are surprisingly pretty.

    image

This cup will not hold water.

    image

Did we mention there were a lot of bones?

    image

If your crown of bones features 3 skulls as decorations, it is obviously much too big to fit on your head.

    image

This one has a funny hairdo and a bird trying to peck out his already missing eye.

  • Prague Toy Museum

Kids must have really liked to set up play houses because there were some really elaborate sets.

    image

Then there was stuff like this Krampus toy.

    image

Not sure why the teddy bear has a muzzle. It wouldn’t hurt anybody. It’s bear abuse!

    image

These are men from Mars. At least that was their label, but they are wearing skirts. So maybe they are women from Mars.image

This is an even more creepy baby from Earth.

    image

They had a special exhibit on Barbie because the original concept came from a Czech cartoon.

    image

Here’s Matt confused by the quantity of Barbies.

    image

Although most of these aren’t Barbie she still managed to make her way into Star Trek. Didn’t see a Star Wars Barbie.

  • Prague Castle

The inside of the castle was big and boring.

    image

This is a replica of the crown. The real one looks just as fake, but you weren’t allowed to take pictures of it.

    image

This is the royal orb. Because you need an orb to be royal.

    image

The ceilings were covered in crests of different families.

    image

This one is a bit fishy.

    image

The next room took an unexpectedly morbid turn.

    image

I don’t remember the guidebook saying anything about pirates. But I really can’t remember what this was about.

    image

Other than dead people. I know it involved dead people.

  • Prague Armory

At the Prague armory Matt decided to shoot a crossbow.

    image

His first shot didn’t even hit the target.

    image

But his third one almost hit the 100.

    image

They also had lots of armour for the king.

    image

    And the devil?

    image

    And falconman?

    image

    And a skeleton.

    image

And a man hiding something in his cheeks.

    image

Then there were these weird looking top hat armours.

    image

This one doesn’t look quite finished.

    image

    And a spiked baseball cap.

  • Golden Lane

The Golden Lane was next to the palace. Many  people used to live there. Now the tiny houses are set up to recreate the homes of various people from various times in its history.

    image

This is the herbalist’s bedroom from 1562.

    image

    And here is his shop.

    image

This was the seamstress’s home from the 1st Republic.

    image

This is the home of the famous psychic Matylda Prusova. Every day between World War 1 and her death in World War 2 she set her table and got a bed ready for her son, expecting him to come home from the war. He never did. You would think this would be bad for business, but she was very successful as a psychic anyway.
