Another morning in another tent
We set off in rain ponchos
Past more mountains.
And more flowers
There were a lot of flowers
Of different colours
Which Kerri stopped to take pictures of because she didn’t want to climb the mountain.
Because mountains are hard work
And trails really shouldn’t go up them.
Especially when there are threatening clouds around.
But eventually we saw the next camp in the distance
And walked to it through the flowers
Now we can share pictures of the O-loop that weren’t taken on Kerri’s phone.
Kerri crossed a river
Matt took a selfie
Kerri joined him
We saw a parrot but he didn’t pose nicely.
We saw a Chilean flicker
He did pose nicely.
And here’s another bird’s butt.
The morning of day 2 we woke up in our cougar proof tent.
You are supposed to keep your food inside the tent to keep the wildlife out of it, which is different.
You are not allowed to chase the Cougars.
There are lots of red flowers in Patagonia
And lots of walking
We will walk 100 kms
And we will walk not that much more.
Cuz to be the man that walked 1000 miles
Would make our feet so sore.
Duh Duy Um Dum
Enough of that, here’s to us starting off the o loop trail.
With beautiful skies that will for sure keep up for the rest of the hike.
Away we go onwards to the next camp!
There were swans in Puerto Natales
They had a baby
Matt called him an ugly duckling
But he wasn’t an ugly anything
Whatever he was trying to eat was ugly
It did not look appetizing at all
Mom should have kept a better eye on what he was putting in his mouth.
But he was very cute
When he got tired he went into backpack mode.
Which was even cuter
It seemed like a pretty good spot to snooze
Even while Mom fished
He seemed pretty stable
Baby swans are cute.
