Bella decided to cross the river.
Cub was not sure about this decision, possibly because there were so many boats.
Bella did not care about the boats.
She just wanted to get across the river.
She kept looking back for Cub.
He eventually followed her.
And they disappeared into the plants on the other side.
Bella’s cub is named Cub.
Because we didn’t want anyone fighting over who got to name the cub.
And we are not feeling creative.
He is almost as big as his mom.
But still pretty playful.
He follows Bella around.
But he doesn’t stay too close.
He likes to explore.
And jump on things.
But he’s kind of clumsy.
This is Bella.
Matt’s Mom named her.
She is 14 years old.
And has cataracts.
But she’s still pretty agile.
She does not like bugs.
But neither do we.
She’s pretty easy to spot up in the tree.
But do you see her baby?
The giant river otters were always moving.
Sometimes scratching.
Or splashing.
Or rolling.
They made a lot of squeaky sounds.
They are very cute.
Sometimes they went up on the shore.
But never for long.
They like to splash.
Jenny decided she didn’t really like eating grass.
So she went up on a tree to look for caiman.
I would have been scared if I was a caiman.
But I probably wouldn’t have seen her.
She looked at the water intently.
But she didn’t see anything.
She kept looking though.
Sometimes she got excited.
But she never found breakfast.
Oh well.
