• Baby Seal!

There was a mommy and baby seal sleeping.

    Image

But no matter where Kerri went, the Mommy was blocking the baby’s face.

    Image

Then they turned nose to nose.

    Image

Then Mom had to look at some noisy kids.

    Image

It’s hard work being a Mom.

    Image

You’ve got to keep an eye on everyone.

    Image

Then they turned and cuddled and the baby’s face was in the sun.

    Image

This is another seal that swam by.

    Image

This is a heron that flew by.

    Image

Mom opened her eyes for that.

    Image

But then she closed them again.

    Image

Then she moved and you could see the whole baby!

    Image

They looked like a puppy without ears.

    Image

That’s because real seals don’t have ears.

    Image

    Unlike those smelly sea lions.

    Image

    Seals are mostly blobs.

    Image

    Very cute blobs.

    Image

But their legs aren’t very good on land.

    Image

So sometimes they squish their babies!

    Image

It’s a rough life being a baby seal.

    Image

    Bye Mom!

    Image

    Actually no, wait for me!

    Image

Let me give you a kiss.

    Image

I don’t want to kiss that end.

    Image

Ha ha, now I’m on your tail.

    Image

    OK, OK, I’ll stop.

    Image

    Back to napping.

    Image

Maybe I can get into trouble while she sleeps.

    Image

But Moms are never really sleeping.

    Image

    OK let’s sleep together.

    Image

But Mom’s still keeping an eye on things.

  • NEOWISE

This is comet NEOWISE over one of the local ski hills as the sun had set.

    Image

This is comet NEOWISE zoomed in with some stars that are not visible at all by naked eye or even binoculars.

    Image

This is comet NEOWISE with a shooting star that passed by during the long exposure. Never got one of the planes in the same frame, but somehow caught a shooting star.

  • Hair Flinging

Pink hair is good for flinging.

    Image

    And tossing

    Image

    And whirling

    Image

    And shaking

    Image

    And twirling

    Image

    And swirling

    Image

    Woah! Dizzy!

    Image

    And shaking!

    Image

    And swooshing

    Image

    And spooshing

    Image

Wait, did Kerri just make that word up?

    Image

Her brain might be slightly rattled for some reason.

    Image

Pink hair is also good for flanging

    Image

    And twanging

    Image

And just generally getting in your face.

    Image

    Spunking

    Image

Just a minute. Dizzy again. For some reason.

    Image

    Hasfluring

    Image

    Blowing

    Image

    Churflunking

    Image

    And hazating

    Image

Which definitely does not mean it’s meant for people younger than 34.

  • Kerri’s Hair is Pink!

    Kerri’s hair is pink!

    Image

You may be wondering why she also appears to be naked.

    Image

Don’t worry, she’s actually wearing several layers, because it was a rather cold day to be on the balcony in front of a fan.

    Image

But the internet says that it is best to shoot hair models wearing as little as possible, and use Photoshop to remove any remaining straps.

    Image

Because clothing can distract from the hair.

    Image

As everybody knows, the least distracting background is naked women.

    Image

You should definitely keep that in mind for your next important Zoom meeting.

  • How Kerri’s Hair Became Pink

This is what Kerri’s hair looked like before pinkification.

    Image

    Then Matt did some chemistry.

    Image

Then Matt cut a chunk of Kerri’s hair off and dipped it into his concoction in an old fruit cup on the kitchen counter.

    Image

Then Kerri had to put her hair into layers using non-metallic clips.

    Image

Kerri didn’t have non-metallic hair clips, so she used IKEA chip clips.

    Image

    What could possibly go wrong?

    Image

Bleaching is permanent, so Kerri didn’t want to do too much. So she bought a highlight kit with a special brush to just bleach little stripes of hair.

    Image

Matt put the first layer in in nice stripes.

    Image

Then the other layers got added and it all got mixed together.

    Image

Whatever, as long as it’s symmetrical …

    Image

    Errr…maybe as long as it’s pink…

    Image

    OK, the bleach worked.

    Image

It doesn’t look too bad, which is good, because Kerri’s stuck with that until she cuts it off.

    Image

    Now for the pinkification!

    Image

It’s pink! But a bit uneven. Maybe a bit of wave will help…

    Image

Oh no! Kerri of Green Gables is back!

    Image

    Yeah…the wave didn’t really help.
