This is Sammy. He is a sting ray that likes to hang out in the shallow water so you have to be careful not to step on him.
There were also lots of pelicans.
However Kerri was very lazy.
Therefore, we only have pictures of pelican’s rear ends.

Merry? Christmas
Our Christmas dinner this year was weird. It was accompanied by a show, which turned out to be the Mariah Carey Christmas special. This necessitated shots.
The first course was candied sugar. It was described on the menu as a “Christmas tropical salad with clove leaves”. . We forgot to take a picture of that one.
The second course was fishy. Very fishy. It was “tuna and oysters with Chipilin and black Caviar vinigrette”. Those pink crystals are a “salt mirror”, which apparently means blocks of pure salt. Matt found out the hard way.
The third course was nut soup with meaty lumps. Sorry, that’s “smoked hazelnut creme with quail croquette and foiegras stuffed profiteroles”. It was the most edible course.
The main course was a turkey roll, which was dry and had surprize candied sugar lumps in the middle.
Or “lobster glazed cod”, which was really fishy.
We bailed before desert to go to the buffet.

Vancouver Aquarium Dolphin
This is Helen.
She is a dolphin.
She has hurt fins.
So she lives at the aquarium.
She can stand up out of the water.
For fish.
She eats lots of fish.
She also splashes a lot.
But mostly she eats fish.

Vancouver Aquarium Sea Otters
The otters at the aquarium are cute.
But they spend a lot of time hiding their faces.
Or biting things, which really detracts from the cuteness.
They make a lot of funny faces.
They aren’t even that cute when they yawn.
They might even be evil.

Sea lions are kind of cute.
But very loud.
And pretty gross.
Their teeth are black.
And you can look up their noses all the time.
