The Adventures of Kerri & Matt

Casa Bonita is known for being a very strange place.

People say it’s very hard to discribe, but weird and wonderful.

Kerri thinks it’s actually very easy to discribe. It’s an elaborately decorated Chuck-E-Cheese with crappy Mexican food instead of crappy pizza.

Except that even at Chuck-E-Cheese, you sit down at a table and get served. At Casa Bonita, you stand in line and pickup food at the counter, like a fast food place.

Also Casa Bonita has booze. Chuck-E-Cheese does not. Although that might increase its popularity.

After you pick up your food you get to sit at a table.

The table has a view of the elaborately decorated waterfall and pool.

Every 15 minutes there is some kind of cheesy show, all of which involve someone jumping, diving or falling off of the scenery into the pool.

After dinner you can wander around and find a treasure chest, assuming you consider stale tootsie rolls to be treasure.

You can also go to the arcade, or ride the exciting rides if you happen to weigh less than 30 pounds.

Or walk through the scary haunted cave.

We did not need to go all the way to Omaha to see Canadian geese.

But these ones were fluffy in weird places, so we stopped to take pictures anyway.

This fish has a big mouth.

You don’t really appreciate it yet.

Now you’re starting to get the idea.

And now you can really see it. Wasn’t that worth the wait?

The gibbons at the Omaha Zoo were displeased.

Something terrible was happening.

There are things down there!

Weird wet things.

One gibbon went down to check it out.

But he wound up getting checked out instead.
