  • Omaha Zoo Lions

Posted on June 21, 2019 10:45 pm by Kerri & Matt Comment

The lion stuck his tongue out at us.

    Image

This made him a lot less terrifying.

    Image

    He was sleepy.

  • Omaha Zoo Puffins

Posted on June 21, 2019 10:19 pm by Kerri & Matt Comment

There were puffins at the Omaha Zoo around the corner from where we slept.

    Image

    They splash a lot.

    Image

Which makes it very difficult to get good pictures.

    Image

    They also groom a lot.

    Image

    And sometimes they even snuggle.

  • Omaha Zoo Baby Orangutan

Posted on June 21, 2019 9:37 pm by Kerri & Matt Comment

There’s a baby orangutan at the Omaha Zoo.

    Image

    He likes to swing.

    Image

    He is very fast.

    Image

    And very cute.

    Image

He hangs out with Mom a lot.

    Image

Sometimes he is quiet and thoughtful.

    Image

But most of the time he’s goofy.

    Image

He likes to check out the people watching him.

    Image

He has learned to beg, which is bad.

    Image

And he seems to know it is bad.

    Image

    But he does it anyway.

  • Omaha Zoo Baby Sea Lions

Posted on June 21, 2019 8:46 pm by Kerri & Matt Comment

The Omaha Zoo had baby sea lions.

    Image

One baby was 9 days old.

    Image

And the other one was 3 days old.

    Image

    They were both very cute.

    Image

They mostly just want to eat.

    Image

They don’t explore very far from Mom.

    Image

Mom is the source of food after all.

    Image

Although sometimes it’s dangerous to stick too close to Mom.

    Image

Especially when she’s got an itch.

    Image

But you do have to take every opportunity you can get for a snack.

    Image

Even if Mom is flailing around wildly.

    Image

    Just keep drinking.

    Image

    And then give her kisses.

    Image

    Because she loves you.

    Image

    Enough to feed you.

  • Omaha Zoo Ostrich

The ostrich at the Omaha Zoo was not very happy with us.

    Image

She showed us the backside of her wings, which looks really weird.
