We stopped for a rollercoaster on the way out of town.
And said goodbye to Snoopy.
Kerri needs selfie practice.

Baby beluga in the deep blue sea…

Errr…. baby belugas aren’t actually white.

And even the smallest looking ones in this pod were definitely white.

Let’s try that again.

Grown up belugas in the shallow green-grey river…

Swim so wild and you swim so free.

Rain clouds above and sediment below.

Little white whale on the go!

There were Minke whales in the St Lawrence.

They come there to eat.

It is hard to get a good picture of them eating.

Their tummies go pink because they are getting lots to eat.

By taking great big gulpfuls of water and fish.

But most of the time most of the whale is under the water.

And sometimes the parts sticking out are hard to identify.

A lot of the time it’s just a fin.

Sometimes the fin and back.

It looks even weirder when he’s swimming away.

The fin moves.

Fast.

And then it’s gone.
This is a manatee’s butt. The manatees weren’t posing for Kerri. We wouldn’t normally bother posting pictures of manatee butts, but Kerri is checking the e-mail system and is too lazy to make a proper post.

The Cincinnati Zoo has a Green Basilisk lizard that was posing for Kerri.

They are called Jesus Christ lizards because they can run on water.

But this one wasn’t running anywhere.
