• Boat in London

This is a boat in London. It was decorated with a weird pattern for reasons of art. Kerri took a picture, got it ready to upload and then left it sitting for months for reasons even harder to fathom. Perhaps a year abroad has made her an artiste.

  • Globe Theatre

We went to the reconstruction of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.

    image

To see Measure for Measure, a play that we didn’t read in school.

    image

We got standing room seats on the floor with the peasants.

    image

At the front so we could lean on the stage.

    image

    The stage was very fancy.

  • Thanksgiving Dinner

We just realized that the hostel we booked in London does not have a kitchen.
And London is way too expensive to eat out every night. (We already miss Africa).
    So here is thanksgiving dinner.

    image

    Unbaked garlic bread
    Sliced ham
    Sliced cheddar cheese
    Hummus and carrots

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  • Sterkfontein Caves

We toured the Sterkfontein Caves where important australopithecine fossils were found.

    image

They swung through the trees above and fell through holes like this and died.

    image

There are still active excavations going on, but we weren’t allowed to visit those parts.

    image

Which meant it was a tour of a fairly typical cave.

    image

    Dark and wet.

    image

    And difficult to get around.

    image

There are also some open excavations at the surface.
