We saw a mama bear on our walk.
We know it was a mama because we saw the cubs the next day.
But we weren’t quick enough to get a picture of the cubs, just the mama, who didn’t seem to be interested in getting out of our way.
The cubs were lighter coloured.
Kerri thought they were coyotes at first.
The Dome of Light is Art
It is weird.
It is in the train station.
Victoria Peak has great views of Hong Kong.
There is a 138-year old tram up to it, because that’s how long ago people realized walking up to the top wasn’t fun.
But Kerri decided to walk to the top in a tropical storm anyway.
She didn’t actually need to go up that staircase, she just didn’t realize she was lost until she read the “no entry” sign at the top.
Fortunately there was a free blow-dryer at the peak.
The Dragon’s Back hike is not very long.
It is also not very high, but it feels very high when it’s 32 degrees and humid.
It goes up and down and up and down like a dragon’s back.
A Chinese dragon, not a European dragon.
Although it sure felt like something was breathing fire.
There were pretty flowers.
And bright mushrooms
And big birds far away so we only got pictures of their feathers
And views of Hong Kong
We took a bunch of selfies but they are on Matt’s phone so if you want to see them you’ll have to convince him to post.
Kerri is posting this from the pool.
Matt was in the pool earlier but he left to go to the bakery.
Kerri got trapped in a water cage in Victoria Park.
But she somehow escaped.
Matt also saw some teapots.
That’s all the pictures Matt took. No crazy high rises and bamboo scaffolding. And Kerri’s phone broke, so that’s all the pictures you are going to get.
