We saw a cedar waxwing and we don’t see those very often so we took a picture.

Turtles Laying Eggs
On our walk last night we saw two western painted turtles laying eggs.
A bear also jumped out of the bushes and galloped down the path ahead of us. But we weren’t quick enough to get pictures of the bear bum so you only get the turtle bums.

Devil’s Club
We saw a plant in Olympic National Park.
They looked kind of Suessian 
Except for the very prickly bits 
The leaves looked OK 
Even the ones that were fully extended 
But the undersides looked deadly again.

Northern Lights
We drove out of the city to see the Northern Lights. There was a lot of red.
Everywhere we tried to stop was chaos.
When we finally found a spot most of the show was over. There was a greenish glow in the ski… Or possibly just some clouds and light pollution. It was hard to tell.

Knox Mountain
We climbed Knox Mountain today. 
Kerri was less good at following orders. These are the only pictures and they’re basically the same picture with and without Matt.
