The weird guy who built the House on the Rock had a lot of weapons.

Some of them seemed excessive.

We couldn’t figure out why there was a leg in the wall of weapons.

We had to look closer.

It seems like a tiny gun for a big leg.

Other weird things we found at House on the Rock included a statue of a man attempting to darn his socks while wearing them.

A street, which included houses built inside the house.

A steam powered carriage.

A tile-covered car.

More stuffed animals than Kerri’s collection.

This is the backside of the house with even more.

An animatronic tarot card reader.

And a Giant Power Heidelburg Electric Belt, which is an ancient version of those belts that are supposed to stimulate your abs and give you a six pack without you having to do anything. I guess people have been falling for that one for almost as long as there’s been electricity.

The outside of House on the Rock is very green.

It’s very pretty.

Still a bit weird.

OK, a lot weird.

And somehow cute and terrifying at the same time.

But mostly just weird.

And green.

It’s hard to find the actual house with all of the green and walkways.

You can see the infinity room.

And trace that backward.

So you know the house is there behind the trees.

But you still can’t really see it.

House on the Rock is a bit hard to explain.

And even harder to photograph.

It’s a guy’s house, built on a rock.

A lot of it’s designed to look like he just built the house around the nature that was already there. But all of this is actually fake. Those trees trunks are dead, and are just kind of propped up in his living room.

Most of the rest of the house is dark.

And filled with weird stuff.

I can’t even remember what this is.

Noah’s Ark Waterpark is the largest waterpark in North America.
The largest waterpark in the world is in Germany, and Kerri couldn’t find a way to make that on a road trip from Toronto to Vancouver.
The second largest in North America is West Ed.
This was not the best slide,
But it completely drenched you
In ice cold water.
Which meant that we went back to the locker to grab towels and warm up.
Which means that we had access to the camera.
Kerri’s favourite was black anaconda, which is a water coaster. That means it has a series of conveyor belts to whisk you back up and down again really fast.
Matt’s favourite was the cobra.
Which starts out in the cobra’s tail as a twisty slide.
And then spits you out into the fan of the cobra.
Where you slide back and forth until you run out of momentum.
In case you don’t want to do slides, it also has a theatre where you can get wet watching Waterslide: the Movie, which was a CGI animation of someone sliding down a waterslide, or Journey 2, which featured Michael Cain and the Rock and was utterly ridiculous.
Flash flood also completely drenched you.
And all of the animals on the Ark.
Matt made Kerri stand in that cage under the Ark. You have to hold onto the railing so you don’t get washed away.
Kerri was unhappy.
