At House on the Rock even the washrooms are weird. This is one of the women’s washrooms.

Those creepy faceless manikens are above the stalls, so they can look down on you while you pee. Creepy.

The men’s washroom is full of dead animals.

Kerri thinks that’s much less creepy.

They also had a genuine jackalope, which is much cooler than anything in the women’s washroom.

House on the Rock also had a bunch of little animatronic machines about death.

This is a drunk guy. Skeletons pop out at him from all directions.

There was a similar one with a women. Apparently these are supposed to scare you out of drinking.

This one just had weird tombstones. I guess this is supposed to scare you out of breeding?

And this one is supposed to scare you out of eating apples???

House on the Rock has a bunch of very elaborate music machines.

All of the instruments are like pianos that play themselves, except that they are not pianos.

For small instruments, the robotics to play the instrument are bigger than the instrument, which looks funny.

The drums are pretty simple.

But to build an entire robot band you need more than drums.

All of the rooms were very dark and hard to photograph, so it’s difficult to identify the instruments now.

This drum playing robot was particularly scary.

But the instruments in this room were played by robotic ghosts.

You would think robotic ghosts would be scarier than robotic Asian dudes.

But they’re not.

The House on the Rock has a rather large collection of Faberge eggs.

Some have elaborate figures inside.

Others are really boring.

But all of them are worth way more than they are worth.
