It was bedtime for the monitor lizard too.

He was closing his eyes.

But he kept opening them to keep an eye on us.

It was bedtime for the monitor lizard too.

He was closing his eyes.

But he kept opening them to keep an eye on us.

It was bedtime for the pelicans

They were yawning

With their weird mouths.

It looks like a lot of exercise.

Which made them sleepy.

Then they closed their eyes.

But someone was always keeping an eye on you.

The lion stuck his tongue out at us.

This made him a lot less terrifying.

He was sleepy.

There were puffins at the Omaha Zoo around the corner from where we slept.

They splash a lot.

Which makes it very difficult to get good pictures.

They also groom a lot.

And sometimes they even snuggle.

There’s a baby orangutan at the Omaha Zoo.

He likes to swing.

He is very fast.

And very cute.

He hangs out with Mom a lot.

Sometimes he is quiet and thoughtful.

But most of the time he’s goofy.

He likes to check out the people watching him.

He has learned to beg, which is bad.

And he seems to know it is bad.

But he does it anyway.
